YOGA & PILATES - can do it all!

Unfortunately a single fitness activity cannot provide you with all the health and fitness benefits that exercise has to offer.  For example, many men prefer weight training and regard stretching and cardio exercise as a complete waste of time, while women crowd into aerobics studios and will not be caught dead in the free weights section of a health club.  Weight training is great for building muscle mass, but tends to bulk up muscles with no effect on the total fitness of the body as a whole.   Circuit training provides some aerobic exercise, but can it really burn body fat?  Runners and walkers get plenty of cardio respiratory fitness, but will not see improved muscle strength or posture and body alignment - not to mention the side effects on the hip, knee and ankle joints.
